CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97-20 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE <br />DECLARATION FOR THE APPLICATION OF EARLY <br />LEARNING INSTITUTE FOR REZONING AND <br />DEVELOPMENT PLAN APPROVAL TO CONSTRUCT <br />AND OPERATE A PRIVATE ELEMENTARY AND <br />MIDDLE SCHOOL FOR 200 CHILDREN, AS FILED <br />UNDER CASE PUD-96-19 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of March 18, 1997, the City Council received a proposed <br />negative declaration for the application of Early Learning Institute for <br />rezoning from the PUD (Planned Unit Development) - MDR (Medium <br />Density Residential) to the PUD (Planned Unit Development) - P/I <br />(Public/Institutional) District and development plan approval to allow the <br />construction and operation of a private elementary and middle school for up <br />to 200 children, consisting of three buildings -- 11,064 sq.ft., 8,692 sq.ft., <br />and 16,800 sq.ft. in size, on a 3.51 acre site located on the northerly side of <br />Stoneridge Drive between Stone Pointe Way and the Zone 7 pump station <br />site; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has received and reviewed the Initial Study dated February <br />26, 1997, and received the recommendations of the staff and Planning <br />Commission; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time the public was given <br />the oppommity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed <br />rezoning and development plan; and <br /> <br />the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts in accordance with the <br />applicable state and local guidelines governing the preparation of Negative <br />Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council fmds that the proposed rezoning and development plan <br /> would not have any significant adverse effects on the environment. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />
