<br /> <br />6C <br /> <br />'- <br /> <br />pLEASANTONc <br /> <br />City Council <br />Staff Report <br /> <br />February 7, 2006 <br />Planning Department <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />P AP-85/PDUP-8 <br /> <br />APPLICANTI <br />APPEALANT: <br /> <br />Megha Vilas Thuse <br /> <br />PURPOSE: <br /> <br />An appeal of the Planning Commission's denial of an application for a <br />conditional use permit to expand an existing small family daycare to a <br />large family daycare home (7-11 children) at the existing residence. <br /> <br />LOCATION: <br /> <br />5276 Genovesio Drive <br /> <br />GENERAL PLAN: High Density Residential (Greater than eight (8) dwelling units per gross <br />acre) <br /> <br />ZONING: <br /> <br />Planned Unit Development - High Density Residential (PUD-HDR) <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION: <br /> <br />The Planning Commission denied (4-1) the application for a large family daycare serving up to <br />14 children. The applicant has since modified the application to request approval to serve up to <br />II children. <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the City Council approve the appeal, thus approving the use permit for a <br />large family daycare for up to II children to be located at 5276 Genovesio Drive by taking the <br />following actions: <br /> <br />I. Make the required findings for the conditional use permit, and <br />2. Approve the appeal, thus approving application PDUP-8 subject to the <br />Conditions of Approval listed in Exhibit "B". <br /> <br />SR:06:033 <br />Page 1 <br />
