<br />. Patrol Cameras ($4,500) <br /> <br />This equipment is intended to support the needs of the Operations Division for still photography <br />related to the collection of evidence. These funds will purchase five digital still cameras. <br /> <br />PPD Security System Upgrade ($12,000) <br /> <br />The current system's capabilities are limited to visual monitoring of multiple camera sites around <br />the police facility. This upgrade will add two outside cameras with 360-degree panorama views <br />to the system and integrate all existing cameras and monitors together. Added capabilities with <br />this upgrade will include digital video storage and retrieval, user defined pre-set views (motion <br />triggers, a specific day/time, etc., point and click desktop navigation between cameras, ability to <br />retrieve date/time stamped snapshots and video. <br /> <br />. Tuff Shed Shelter ($6,100) <br /> <br />This structure will be used to shelter and secure a portion of the police motorcycle fleet that is <br />stationed at the City's Operation Service Center when not in service. These units currently sit <br />unprotected from the elements making them vulnerable to maintenance problems and possible <br />theft or damage by vandals. This shelter will ensure the motorcycles are safe, secure, and <br />mechanically maintained in a patrol-ready state. <br /> <br />. Less-Lethal Beanbag Shotguns ($5,600) <br /> <br />The department began replacing the aging patrol shotguns in FY 2004-2005 as many of these <br />weapons were over 25-years old. These funds will replace the remaining 14 weapons that are in <br />the fleet. <br /> <br />. Radio Mic Extensions ($1,000) <br /> <br />These funds will be used to purchase ten (10) radio shoulder microphones to be used for line <br />personnel. <br /> <br />. K-9 Bite Sleeves ($1,000) <br /> <br />We have three K-9 units that currently train and share one aging bite sleeve. These funds will be <br />used to purchase three different training sleeve types with Jute Cuff's for each sleeve. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br /> <br />Through this program the State of California provides supplemental funding to municipal law <br />enforcement agencies. There is no requirement for matching funds. We recommend that the <br /> <br />SR 06:050 <br />
