<br />Attachment 1 <br /> <br /> <br />pLfASANfONc <br /> <br />Invitation to Bid on <br />Contracting Services for Concrete and Sound Wall Repairs <br />for the City of Pleasanton <br />Bid No. OSC-05-03-ST <br /> <br />Introduction <br /> <br />The City of Pleasant on is located in Alameda County, approximately 35 miles southeast <br />of San Francisco and sited at the intersection of Interstate 580 and Interstate 680. Total <br />area within the City boundary is approximately 22 square miles. <br /> <br />The City of Pleasanton is requesting an experienced licensed contractor to perform <br />routine and scheduled sidewalk, curb and gutter and miscellaneous sound wall repairs on <br />City right of ways. In addition, the contractor will be asked to reset brick paving stones <br />within the City's right of ways on an as needed basis. <br /> <br />Scope of Services <br /> <br />The following outline provides a scope of work for the City's expectations regarding <br />routine and scheduled sidewalk, curb and gutter and miscellaneous sound wall repairs on <br />City right of ways. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. Removal and replacement of sidewalk per square foot, to include root cutting or <br />grinding, if necessary. <br />. Removal and replacement of curb and gutter per linear foot, to include root <br />cutting or grinding, if necessary. <br />. Removal and replacement of driveway approach per square foot, to include root <br />cutting or grinding, if necessary. <br />. Rebuild/reconstruct 160 square foot section of damaged cinderblock sound wall, <br />per City specifications. <br />. Resetting of 544 square feet of brick pavers, per City specifications. <br /> <br />Before contract work begins, the Contractor will provide to the Streets Superintendent or <br />designee a schedule that will indicate the order in which work will be performed. In <br />addition, in advance of each workday's applications, the Contractor will confirm to the <br />Street Superintendent as to the specific areas that will be repaired that day. <br /> <br />Performance <br /> <br />The Streets Superintendent, or designee, shall determine satisfactory performance upon <br />completion of assigned project.
