CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, ALAMEDA ORDINANCE NO. 1931 AN ORDINANCE TO MODIFY THE PERMIT PARKING ZONE ORDINANCE 1376 TO ELIMINATE TIME RESTRICTIONS AND ALLOW FOR LIMITED TERM PARKING IN THE PERMIT PARKING ZONE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City hereby modifies the City of Pleasanton Ordinance No. 1376 as follows: 11.38.010 Definitions. For the purpose of this chapter the following words and phrases shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them: E. "Residential permit parking zone" means a residential zone designated as provided in this chapter wherein vehicles displaying a valid permit issued pursuant to this chapter shall be exempt from the parking time restrictions established iR this ehallter for the permit parking area. 11.38.080 Posting of residential permit parking zone. Upon the adoption of a resolution by the council designating a residential permit parking zone and appropriate parking time restrictions, the city manager shall order appropriate signs to be erected in such area indicating prominently thereon the time limitation, day or days, and hours during which parking shall be restricted. It is unlawful and a violation of this chapter, unless expressly provided to the contrary in this chapter, for any person to park a motor vehicle on a street in a residential permit parking zone wit;hiR in excess of the parking time limit posted by signs giving notice thereof and erected pursuant to this chapter, without a valid residential parking permit for that zone properly affixed to such vehicle. Section 2. A summary of this ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) days after its adoption in "The Tri- Valley Herald," a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of Pleasanton, and the complete ordinance shall be posted for fifteen (15) days in the City Clerk's office within fifteen (15) days after its adoption.
