CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97-06 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADDING AGENDA ITEM REGARDING <br />CLAIM OF LYNN BEAMON <br /> <br />at its meeting of February 4, 1997, Mr. Lynn Beamon addressed the <br />Council under the Meeting Open to the Public portion of the agenda <br />regarding his proposed claim for damages; and <br /> <br />consideration of such a claim was not set forth on the City Council agenda <br />for February 4, 1997, because at the time the agenda was posted staff was <br />unaware such a claim would be forthcoming; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Brown Act permits the Council to add an item to the agenda upon a <br />two-thirds vote of the Council that the item arose after the time the agenda <br />was posted; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in order to address Mr. Beamon's concerns, action by Council is necessary <br /> prior to the next regularly scheduled Council meeting; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />Based on the findings set forth above, a closed session discussion of the <br />claim of Lynn Beamon is hereby added to the February 4, 1997 agenda for <br />Council consideration and action, if necessary. <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br />adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
