<br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />I EXHIBIT A I <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, ALAMEDA <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE TO MODIFY THE PERMIT PARKING ZONE <br />ORDINANCE 1376 TO ELIMINATE TIME RESTRICTIONS <br />AND ALLOW FOR LIMITED TERM PARKING IN THE PERMIT <br />PARKING ZONE <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City hereby modifies the City of Pleasant on Ordinance No. 1376 as follows: <br /> <br />11.38.010 Definitions. <br />For the purpose of this chapter the following words and phrases shall have the meanings <br />respectively ascribed to them: <br />E. "Residential permit parking zone" means a residential zone designated as provided in this <br />chapter wherein vehicles displaying a valid permit issued pursuant to this chapter shall be <br />exempt from the parking time restrictions established in this ehapter for the permit <br />parking area. <br /> <br />11.38.080 Posting ofresidentiaI permit parking zone. <br />Upon the adoption of a resolution by the council designating a residential permit parking zone <br />and appropriate parking time restrictions, the city manager shall order appropriate signs to be <br />erected in such area indicating prominently thereon the time limitation, day or days, and hours <br />during which parking shall be restricted. Parking restrictions established pHrsuant to this <br />division shall be in effect between tile hOHrs of nine a.m. and two p.m. from Mondays throHgh <br />Fridays, schoolllolidays exclHded, during tile period September 1st to JHly 1st. (Ord. 1376 ~ 1 <br />(part), 1988) <br /> <br />11.38.090 Violations. <br />A. It is unlawful and a violation of this chapter, unless expressly provided to the contrary in <br />this chapter, for any person to park a motor vehicle on a street in a residential permit <br />parking zone within in excess of the parking time limit posted by signs giving notice <br />thereof and erected pursuant to this chapter, without a valid residential parking permit for <br />that zone properly affixed to such vehicle. <br /> <br />Section 2. A summary ofthis ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) days after <br />its adoption in "The Tri- Valley Herald," a newspaper of general circulation <br />published in the City of Pleasant on, and the complete ordinance shall be posted for <br />fifteen (15) days in the City Clerk's office within fifteen (15) days after its <br />adoption. <br />
