She "VVas impressed by discussions t:hat <br />California Splash had V'Vith the Youth :M:aster Plan Implementation Committee and noted <br />that the kids had "V'Vanted an acti-vity like this. She vv-as impressed that they had discussed <br />moral" beha-vioral" and crovvd control issues so that it: VV"ould be a family-f:riendly place. <br />Ideally" she VV"ould have preferred that this issue vv-as referendable at a future date", but not <br />at t:his point:. She did not agree t:hat options o:n t:he East: Side vv-ould be limited at this <br />point. She noted that any housing on the East. Side vv-ould need an enormous sound "VVall <br />similar to that in California Reflections because o:t- the t.rain. She "V\/ould prefer not: to <br />appro-ve the entire project at this point but to approve each phase separately. <br /> <br />Cornmissiouer Fox noted that she vv-as impressed by the comments made during the focus <br />groups and cCHT1mu.nity meetings. She 1.""1ot:ed that tl""1e toddler pool VV"ould be ideal for her <br />young son. She expressed concem about traffic and noise and added that the <br />communit:y"'s comments vv-ere vv-ell represe1."1t:ed in the e-1Tl.ails that had been recei-ved. She believed that the co.n""l.munity l""l.ad concerns about t:h.e higher <br />elevation slides. She acknovvledged that there vvould be cut:-through traffic <br />on Stanley Boulevard and that trafl:l.c "V'Vould be hea-vier Oll 1-580 vv-hen lkea opens. She <br />could not find another area in Pleasanton VV"here this project vv-ould be more appropriate. <br /> <br />Commissioner Fox noted that the focu.s groups expressed concern. about future changes o:t- <br />o"VVTI.ership.
