He noted that one of the current <br />tenants had a -very 10""'" parking requ-irement a..nd that the Islamic Center "VV"ou-Id lease the <br />second unit" leaving a third llI1it vacant_ He noted that there vv-as no restriction on the <br />la..ndlord leasing the -vacant rmit to a conforming use vv-hich VV"ould be allovved to use the <br />parking area an.d the fenced yard", close the gates in the fenced yard" nnd u.se all of the <br />spaces that ""ould be restriped in the future_ He expressed concem that a parking <br />problem "VV"ould ensue vv-hen the Center gro"V'Vs and ""hen the surrounding businesses hire <br />more people. He noted that staff expressed that same concerrl. on. page 5 of the staff <br />report. <br /> <br />1\I1r_ Q"'Toole expressed concern. about the length o:fthe conditional use permit and added <br />that the building "V'Vas traditionally zoned for commercial-indu.strial "Use. He noted that <br />vv-hen he invested in the building" he had expected that the adjacent building vv-ould <br />remain. as a commercial use.
