She suggested that the Commission meet "V'Vith them to explain the greer:L <br />building guidelines. <br /> <br />Commissioner Sulli-van noted that VV'as the reaSOTl he volunteered to attend that meeting" <br />and felt he could accurately explain the green building gu.idelines. He noted that the green <br />building guideline item ""as publicly noticed, and believed that l'V1r. Costanza "V'Vas in the <br />audience. He believed the process "V'Vas folloVV'ed in a careful and public manner" a..nd <br />noted that the televised statements of the Council VV"ere that the Planning Commission did <br />not have a proper hearing. He added that the intimation at the Council meeting "VotTas that <br />the Commission sneaked something past the public vvithout a proper hearing", and that the <br />community VV'as out of the loop. He expressed concem that this reinforced the <br />Commission"s existing problem in gaining acceptance in the business community of <br />green building.
