c. Actions of the Zoning Administrator <br />Comiz-iissioner Sullivan inquired about the status of PCUP-75 Gary R. Blum, and noted <br />that it appeared that a lot of the building was being torn down. <br />Mr. Iserson noted that the site was located on Division Street, and that the owner was <br />remodeling the house to expand it_ A second unit was being added in the back_ <br />Commissioner Sullivan noted that a 32 inch diameter walnut tree was being removed. Mr. <br />Iserson noted that it was located where the second unit was to be constructed. <br />In response to an inquiry by Commissioner Sullivan regarding the variance, Mr. Iserson <br />replied that the property owner wanted the building to be about two feet taller so that the <br />roof pitch would resemble the pitch on the front house. <br />9. COMMUNICATIONS <br />Chairperson Arkin noted that at their last meeting, the Housing Commission considered <br />that affordable housing in lieu fee, and asked staff to present more choices_ <br />Commissioner Roberts requested a copy of that report. <br />Chairperson Arkin noted that it was not ready, and added that he would like to see it as <br />well_ <br />10. REFERRALS <br />There were none. <br />11. MATTERS FOR COMMISSION'S INFORMATION <br />In response to an inquiry by Chairperson Arkin, Mr. Iserson replied that the Housing <br />Element was still in process. He would join the City Manager and Brian Swift to meet with <br />people from HCD on Friday, February 28, 2003, including the Deputy Director of I-Iousing <br />and Community Development, to discuss the issues_ Staff had. responded to HCD's latest <br />letter, and received more comments from outside parties. He noted that the State had paid a <br />lot of attention to the outside parties' comments. <br />12.
