<br /> CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1928 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AMENDING <br /> SECTION 9.08.020 OF THE PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL CODE AND <br /> ADDING THERETO A NEW SECTION 9.08.035 CONCERNING THE <br /> UNAUTHORIZED PLACEMENT OF LITTER IN COLLECTION <br /> RECEPTACLES <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section I: Section 9.08.020 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code is hereby amended to <br /> read as follows: <br /> "Section 9.08.020. Definitions <br /> (Subsections A-C, no change) <br /> D. 'Enclosed public receptacle' means a litter storage and collection <br /> receptacle in or on a public place that is enclosed on three or more sides. <br /> (Reletter existing subsections D-P to E-Q; otherwise no change.) <br />Section 2. A new section 9.08.035 is added to the Pleasanton Municipal Code to read <br /> as follows: <br /> "Section 9.08.035 Unauthorized Placement of Litter in Private <br /> Receptacles or in Enclosed Public Receptacles <br /> A. No person shall place or deposit litter in a private receptacle unless the <br /> person has refuse service at that location or has received permission from <br /> the person who has such service. <br /> B. No person shall place or deposit litter in an enclosed public receptacle <br /> unless the public entity has granted permission to do so." <br />Section 2. Effective date. This ordinance shall take effect 30 days after its adoption. <br /> . <br />
