Already, there is only one location I'eft on the Bernal site where such a eommunity park can be fully useable. This initiative seeb to slve that location fot the community park. I. Bemal Ptoperly Specific Plan Amendment. Th. following policy is added after Parks Policy 3 on page 3.21 of the August 21,2000 BemaJ.Prope.tly Specific Plan: Parks Policy 3A: p....tvatloh of Community Park Site. a. The 30-50 acte community park described in Parb Policy 3 ,han be located within the area ,hown in the cro..-hatched ar.. on the map attached. That map is made a part of the Bernal Property Specific Plan. b. The City shall approve no Imd usea that are incompatible with use of the community pari< for lighted sports fields, outdoor ampbitheatnla, amplified sound, and other uses typically found in a large community park. e. The City shall adopt. master plan for the community park in order that compltlbllity of proposed nearby u.es csn be compared with rell pI.... for the community park. d. Development of the first phlse of the community park shall be given the highest relsonlble priority in development of the Bernal site, e. Nothing in thls Policy sballlimit the discretion of the City to locate additiolllll park uses in areas outside the COlllltlun1ty park overlay district.
