<br /> EXHIBIT C <br /> CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, ALAMEDA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 05- <br /> RESOLUTION OF APPLICATION BY THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON REQUESTING THE LOCAL AGENCY <br /> FORMATION COMMISSION TO TAKE PROCEEDINGS <br /> FOR THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION/DETACHMENT NO. <br /> 148 (VINEYARD AVENUE REALIGNMENT) PURSUANT TO <br /> THE CORTESE-KNOX-HERTZBERG LOCAL <br /> GOVERNMENT REORGANIZATION ACT OF 2000 <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton desires to initiate proceedings pursuant to the Cortese- <br /> Knox-Hertzberg Local Government Reorganization Act of 2000, Division 3, <br /> commencing with Section 56000 of the California Government Code, for the <br /> annexation of approximately 11.18 acres and the detachment of 6.91 acres, <br /> AnnexationlDetachment 148 (Vineyard Avenue Realignment), and requests <br /> initiation of proceedings thereon; and <br /> WHEREAS, the territory proposed to be annexed and detached are uninhabited, and a <br /> description of the boundaries of the territory is set forth in Exhibit "A", attached <br /> hereto and by this reference incorporated herein; and <br /> WHEREAS, this proposal is consistent with the sphere of influence of the affected city; and <br /> WHEREAS, the reasons for this proposed annexation/detachment are as follows: <br /> This is a logical realignment of the City limits and the City of Pleasanton should <br /> have control over the use and development of the property to be annexed; the City <br /> has agreed to return the property proposed to be detached to its status as <br /> unincorporated territory. <br /> WHEREAS, as to 6.5 acres of land owned by Lonestar Industries that is proposed to be <br /> annexed, the City has concerns about proposed uses on that property and therefore <br /> requests that LAFCo impose, as condition of detachment, that the County of <br /> Alameda refer to the City for its review and comment any land use applications <br /> concerning this property. <br />
