CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1841 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE RESCINDING ORDINANCE 1197 WHICH <br />APPROVED PUD-85-05, DEVELOPMENT PLAN APPROVAL <br />FOR A FOUR-STORY OFFICE BUILDING ON THE SOUTH <br />SIDE OF JOHNSON DRIVE, EASTERLY OF THE HILTON <br />HOTEL <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />on May 21, 1985, the City Council adopted Ordinance 1197, which approved <br />PUD-85-05, an application for a four-story, approximately 66,000-square foot <br />office building on an approximately 2.8-acre site located on the south side of <br />Johnson Drive, easterly of the Hilton Hotel; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />since the project approval no applications nor plans for building/on-site permits <br />have been filed with the City, and, consequently, no building permits have been <br />issued and the office pad remains vacant; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, sixteen years have elapsed since approval of the office building, and a number of <br /> changes have occurred on the site and in the surrounding area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council received the Planning Commission's recommendation to rescind the <br /> development plan approval; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public heating was held on August 21,2001; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />actions of this nature pertaining to minor alterations in land use regulations are <br />categorically exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental <br />Quality Act (CEQA) and no environmental document accompanies this proposal. <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br />Section 2: <br /> <br />The Council rescinds Ordinance 1197. <br /> <br />A summary of this ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) days after <br />its adoption in "The Valley Times," a newspaper of general cimulation published <br />in the City of Pleasanton, and the complete ordinance shall be posted for fifteen <br />(15) days in the City Clerk's office within fifteen (15) days after its adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
