CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1838 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ADDING CHAPTER 9.36, <br />MISCELLANEOUS HEALTH AND SAFETY <br />REGULATIONS, TO THE PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL <br />CODE <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />There is hereby added to Title 9, Health and Safety, of the Pleasanton Municipal <br />Code, Chapter 9.36, Miscellaneous Health and Safety Regulations, which is to <br />read as follows: <br /> <br />"Chapter 9.36 Miscellaneous Health and Safety Regulations <br /> <br />Section 9.36.010 - Public Urination <br /> <br /> No person shall urinate or defecate in or upon any street, alley, plaza, park, public <br />building, publicly maintained facility, public land, or in any place open to the public or <br />exposed to public view. This section shall not apply to urination or defecation which is <br />done in a restroom or other facility designed for the sanitary disposal of human waste." <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br />A summary of this ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) days after <br />its adoption in "The Valley Times," a newspaper of general circulation published <br />in the City of Pleasanton, and the complete ordinance shall be posted for fifteen <br />(15) days in the City Clerk's office within fifteen (15) days after its adoption. <br /> <br />Section 3: <br /> <br />This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after the date of its final passage <br />and adoption. <br /> <br />INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Pleasanton on August 7, <br />2001. <br /> <br />ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Pleasanton on August 21, <br />2001 by the following vote: <br /> <br /> <br />
