CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, ALAMEDA ORDINANCE NO. 1833 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF CENTEX HOMES FOR PREZONING A PORTION OF THE SIMONI PROPERTY WHEREAS, Centex Homes has applied for PUD development .plan approval for property located at 1887 Vineyard Avenue and two lots easterly of it (APN 946-1350-11 and APN 950-0006-3-1); and WHEREAS, the Simoni property was not annexed at the time the other Vineyard Corridor properties were, so it was not prezoned at that time; and WHEREAS, zonings in the Vineyard Corridor have been to the PUD District, with the Specific Plan designated uses; accordingly, the portion of the Simoni parcel being annexed would be prezoned to the PUD-Vineyard District; and WHEREAS, this action is covered by the Environmental Impact Report prepared for the Vineyard Avenue Corridor Specific Plan; and WHEREAS, at its meeting of March 14, 2001, the Planning Commission recommended approval of the prezoning; and WHEREAS, the City Council held a duly noticed public hearing on June 5, 2001; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the prezoning is consistent with the land use designation in the Vineyard Corridor Specific Plan and the City of Pleasanton's General Plan. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Approves the prezoning of an approximately four-acre parcel of the Simoni property within the Vineyard Avenue Corridor as shown on the attached Exhibit "A" to the PUD-Vineyard District. Section 2: The Zoning Map of the City of Pleasanton dated April 18, 1960, on file with the City Clerk, designating and dividing the City into zoning districts is hereby mended by Zoning Unit Map g454, attached hereto as Exhibit "A" dated June 5, 2001, and incorporated herein by this reference.
