CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, ALAMEDA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1833 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF CENTEX <br />HOMES FOR PREZONING A PORTION OF THE SIMONI PROPERTY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Centex Homes has applied for PUD development .plan approval for property <br />located at 1887 Vineyard Avenue and two lots easterly of it (APN 946-1350-11 <br />and APN 950-0006-3-1); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Simoni property was not annexed at the time the other Vineyard Corridor <br /> properties were, so it was not prezoned at that time; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />zonings in the Vineyard Corridor have been to the PUD District, with the Specific <br />Plan designated uses; accordingly, the portion of the Simoni parcel being annexed <br />would be prezoned to the PUD-Vineyard District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this action is covered by the Environmental Impact Report prepared for the <br /> Vineyard Avenue Corridor Specific Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of March 14, 2001, the Planning Commission recommended <br /> approval of the prezoning; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council held a duly noticed public hearing on June 5, 2001; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council finds that the prezoning is consistent with the land use <br />designation in the Vineyard Corridor Specific Plan and the City of Pleasanton's <br />General Plan. <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />Approves the prezoning of an approximately four-acre parcel of the Simoni <br />property within the Vineyard Avenue Corridor as shown on the attached Exhibit <br />"A" to the PUD-Vineyard District. <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br />The Zoning Map of the City of Pleasanton dated April 18, 1960, on file with the <br />City Clerk, designating and dividing the City into zoning districts is hereby <br />mended by Zoning Unit Map g454, attached hereto as Exhibit "A" dated June 5, <br />2001, and incorporated herein by this reference. <br /> <br /> <br />
