WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />WttEREAS. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1808 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF <br />KAISER ALUMINUM AND CIIEMICAL CORPORATION <br />FOR PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT APPROVAL, AS <br />FILED UNDER CASE PUD-98-07 (PAP-07) <br /> <br />Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corporation has applied for Planned Unit <br />Development approval for a master plan and design guidelines that would allow <br />for the development of up to 1.1 million square tbet of office/research and <br />development buildings to be located on an approximately 80 acre parcel located at <br />6177 Stmol Boulevard; and <br /> <br />zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) - I (Industrial) <br />District; and <br /> <br />at its meeting of January 26, 2000, the Planning Commission denied lhe <br />application; and <br /> <br />within the time specified by the Mumcipal Code the applicant appealed the <br />Planning Commission's decision th the City Council; and <br /> <br />a duly noticed public hearing was held on March 7, 2000; and <br /> <br />the City Council continued the item to allow the applicant to consider making <br />revisions to the project; and <br /> <br />a duly noticed public hearing was held on July 11, 2000, at which the applicant <br />proposed a revised PUD master plan and design guidelines that would allow for <br />the development of up to 960,000 square feet of office/research and development <br />buildings to be located on mi approximately 80 acre parcel; and <br /> <br />based on the Initial Enviromnental Study, a mitigated negative declaration was <br />adopted by Council on July 11, 2000; and <br /> <br />the City Council finds that the Valley Avenue extension connection at Junipero <br />Drive rather than at Sycamore Road complies with the General Plan circulation <br />goal to provide a connection to Sunol Boulevard; and <br /> <br /> <br />
