During the conference, the annual business meeting is held at which various policy
resolutions are considered. The resolutions guide cities and the League in efforts to improve the
quality, responsiveness and vitality of local government in California. The League requests that, in
advance of the conference, each City designate a voting delegate to cast the City's votes on these
policy resolutions. An alternate voting delegate is named in the event the voting delegate is
unavailable to vote.
The current Council representatives to the East Bay Division of the League of California Cities are
Vice Mayor Steve Brozosky, member, and Councilmember Jerry Thorne, alternate. Consistent
with past practice, they would serve as the voting delegate and voting alternate, respectively, at
the League's Annual Conference and both are planning to attend.
FISCAL IMPACT
None.
Nelson Fialho
City Manager
SR ()s:262
