The project developer shall meet all requirements of the Pleasanton <br />Fire Code (Pleasanton Municipal Code, Chapter 20.24). <br /> <br />76. The project developer shall keep the site free of fire hazards from the <br />start of lumber construction until the final inspection. <br /> <br />77. Prior to any construction framing, the project developer shall <br />provide adequate fire protection facilities, including, but not limited <br />to surface roads, fire hydrants, and a water supply and water flow in <br />conformance to the City's Fire Department Standards able to <br />suppress a major fire. When alternate methods of fire protection are <br />approved by the Fire Chief. this requirement may be waived or <br />modified. Proposed alternative methods of fire protection shall be <br />submitted in writing to the Fire Chief prior to any framing <br />construction. Work on the alternative fire protection methods shall <br />not begin until approved by the Fire Chief. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />78. The Fire Chief and the City Engineer shall approve the number, <br />type, and location of all public fire hydrants. <br /> <br />79. All new houses (Lots 1-19 and the caretaker's unit) shall be <br />equipped \vith an automatic sprinkler system meeting the <br />specifications of the Fire Marshall. For houses using water booster <br />pumps, a satisfactory method of providing fire low when the pump is <br />inoperative (e.g., on-site water tanks) shall be included in the <br />project. <br /> <br />80. All curbs located within a seven foot, six inch (7' 6") radius of a <br />public/private fire hydrant shall be painted red, unless modified by <br />the Fire Chief. Blue street "hydrant markers" shall be installed for <br />all fire hydrants per City of Pleasanton Standard Specifications. <br /> <br />81. All public and private driveways designated as fire lanes by the Fire <br />Chief shall be maintained in accordance with Articles 9 and 10 of <br />the Uniform Fire Code, which permits towing vehicles illegally <br />parked on the fire lanes.
