,~,,~$,,,,,~.~ CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1796 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL <br /> CODE SECTION 13.08.110 TO PERMIT MOTOR VEHICLES <br /> ON PARK FACILITIES WITH AUTHORIZATION FROM <br /> THE DIRECTOR OF PARKS AND COMMUNITY SERVICES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, sports groups in the City of Pleasanton require motor vehicle access to City parks <br /> and recreation facilities in order to transport equipment onto athletic fields for <br /> league games and tournaments; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, by requiring authorization from the Director of Parks and Community Services, <br /> potential damage to City facilities can be minimized, while providing sports <br /> groups needed access. <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Pleasanton Municipal Code Section 13.08.110 is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "No person shall operate a motor vehicle in or on any park and recreation facility <br /> except on designated streets and parking areas without the written authorization of <br /> the Director of Parks and Commtmity Services." <br /> <br />Section 2: A summary of this ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) days after <br /> its adoption in "The Valley Times," a newspaper of general circulation published <br /> in the City of Pleasanton, and the complete ordinance shall be posted for fifteen <br /> (15) days in the City Clerk's office within fifteen (15) days after its adoption. <br /> <br />Section 3: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after the date of its final passage <br /> and adoption. <br /> <br />INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Pleasanton on <br />October 26, 1999. <br /> <br />ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Pleasanton on November 2, <br />1999 by the following vote: <br /> <br /> <br />
