ORDINANCE NO. 76. <br /> An Ordinancc EstabLishing Rules and Regulations for <br />the Sa~iiary Plumbing and Drainage of Buildings in the <br />Town of Pleasanton, Coun~-~ of Alameda, State of Cali- <br />fornia, and ProriSing for an orifice of Inspector and Pre- <br />scribing the D:Ries and Powers of Such Inspector and <br />Also> Fixing His Sftlary. <br /> The Board of Trustees of the Town o1~ Pleasanton does <br />ordain as follovxs: <br /> Section 1. The following rules and regulations, re- <br />specting the plumbing and drainage of buildings in the <br />Town of Pleasanton are hereby adopted and all work in <br />respect thereto shall be performed as herein required <br />and not other:vise. <br /> Sec. 2.--Quality of Material and Workmanship. <br /> All material must be good quality and free from de- <br />fects. The work must be done in a .thorough and work- <br />manlike manner. <br /> The weight and size must be cast on the, pipe. <br /> Diameter Weight per <br /> Lineal ft. <br /> 2 inches 5 1~2 Ibs. <br /> 8 inches 9 1- 21bs. <br /> 3 icnehs 9 1-2 lbs. <br /> 4 inches " 13 lhs. <br /> 5 inches 20 lbs. <br /> 7 inches 27 lbs. <br /> 8 inches 39 1-2 lbs. <br /> 10 lnches ~5 lbs. <br /> 12 inches 54 lbg. <br /> <br /> Sec. 3.--Arrargement 9f Pipes. <br /> The arrangement of sewer, drain, soil, waste: nd vent <br />pipes must be as direct as possible. <br /> <br /> Excepting as provided for in these rules, ~11 changes <br />in the direction of sewer, drain, soil ~nd waste pipes <br />shall be made with Y branches, 1-16, 1-6 or 1-3 bends. <br /> Offsets may be used, provided the angle they present <br />is not more acute than that presented by a 1-6 bend. <br /> <br /> Where, under these rules, cast-iron vent pipes are al- <br />lowed, then double hubs are allowed, bu~ on the vent <br />pipe only. <br /> Neither brass, wrought nor cast-iron sleeves are al- <br />lowed in any case. <br /> Straight crosses, bands and saddles are prohlbif. ed. <br /> <br /> 109 <br /> <br /> <br />
