While valuable, these
analyses do not give a sense of the conditions local drivers would experience when driving
through the city during the morning or evening peak hours. Staff, therefore, created a new
analysis tool for comparing various alternatives: arterial route delay and level-of-service.
The following routes shown in Figure 1 were chosen to cover a fair amount of the city, to
be routes feasibly traveled by residents, and to use a number of the city's busier arterials.

Route 1 - Vintage Hills Residential to Foothill High School via Hearst, Bemal, and
Foothill.

Route 2 - Rosewood Residential to Stoneridge Mall via Kamp, Mohr, Santa Rita,
Stoneridge Drive, and Stoneridge Mall Road.

Route 3 - Del Prado Residential to Pimlico Plaza via Hansen, Valley, Hopyard, West
Las Positas, Santa Rita, and Pimlico.

24
