Ordinance No. 1920 <br /> Page Two <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposed Ordinance is exempt from review under the California <br /> Environmental Quality Act (California Public Resources Code section 21000 et <br /> seq.) pursuant to section 15061 (b)(3) of Title 14 of the California Code of <br /> Regulations, Chapter 3 (Guidelines for Implementation of the California <br /> Environmental Quality Act), Article 5 (Preliminary Review of Projects and <br /> Conduct of Initial Study); <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Chapter 20.20 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code, as amended, is hereby further <br /> amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"20.20.010 National Electrical Code and Uniform Administrative Code Provisions for the <br />National Electrical Code adopted. <br /> <br /> Subsection A, no change. <br /> <br />B. Said Code is the California Building Standards Code, (24 C.C.R.), and including by <br /> reference the National Electrical Code, 2002 Edition, published by the National Fire <br /> Protection Association and there is adopted by reference that certain Code known as the <br /> Uniform Administrative Code Provisions for the National Electrical Code published by the <br /> International Conference of Building Officials, 1996 Edition. One copy is on file with the <br /> City Clerk for use by the public. <br /> <br /> C. Where there is a reference in the Code to the "Authority Having Jurisdiction" or the "Chief <br /> Electrical Inspector" it shall mean the Chief Building Official or in the absence of the Chief <br /> Building Official, the Interim, Temporary or Acting Chief Building Official. <br /> <br />D. Where there is a reference in the Code to "Electrical Inspector" it shall mean the person <br /> designated by the "Chief Building Official" or in the absence of the Chief Building Official, <br /> the Interim, Temporary or Acting Chief Building Official. <br /> <br />E. Where there is a reference in the Code to a "Qualified Person" it shall mean an electrical <br /> contractor licensed by the State of California or other person licensed by the State of <br /> California to contract for electrical work. <br /> <br /> Sections 20.20.012 - 20.20.020, no change. <br /> <br /> Sections 20.20.022 - 20.20.100, deleted." <br /> <br /> <br />
