The Night Watchman shall be appointed <br />by the Board to serv'~ during their pleasure, and may be <br />removed a.:: :~ny time. <br /> <br /> See. 2. It shall be his duty to patrol the streets and <br />railroads in the Town, each night from nine, (9) o'clock <br />p. m. until sunrise of the following morning; and while <br />on du.~y, sh~ll l~.ave the same powers as a peace officer. <br />as the. Town Marshal, and shall arrest, and turn over tc <br />him all persons found violating the law,s of either the <br />State or Town. <br /> Se.c. 3. He shall, before entering upon :the duties of <br />his office. give an official bond in the sum of Three <br />Hundred Dollars ($100.00) payable to the To,wn of <br />Pleasanton, with two sureties who shall qualify in th{ <br />same amount each, and shall also take and subscribe th{ <br />oath of office. <br /> He ~hall receive f,~r his services the sum of On~ <br />dre,d Dollars per month, which sum shall he drawn <br />on the Town Treasury in the same manner as the say <br /> <br />aries of other Town officers aret drawn. <br />(Section 3 ~s amended by Ordinance No. 135). <br /> Sec. 4.
