Sec. 2. That hereafter where such verandas or porche~ are erected en any street, or streets of the Town. supported hy l~osts or colun~ns, such posts or celumns shall rest on, or be planted in the said sidewalks, as near ss possible to the curb of such sidewalks. Sec. 3. Any person violating any of the ~rovisio~s of this ordina,~ce sl~all. be dee~x~e'd gtfilty of a misden~eanor, and upon a '~lea of guilty or conviction thereof, shall be punished by ~ f~ne of noC more than twenty ($20.00) doll~rs, or by r.n~Yrisonment not exceeding ten days in the Town Jail; arA shall be com?elled to remove the same if so ordered by the Superi~tendent of Streets. Sec. 4. Ordir. ance No. 20, passed the 12th day of May, 1896, is hereby repealed. Sec. 5. This ord~uance shall be published jr. The Pleasanton Times, and shall take effect im.,nedia~ely thereafter.
