shall be installed and serviceable prior to and during the time of construction. When <br /> alternate methods of protection are approved by the Fire Chief, this requirement may be <br /> waived or modified. Proposed alternative methods of fire protection shall be submitted, <br /> in writing, to the Fire Chief. Work on the alternative fire protection methods shall not <br /> start without the approval of the Fire Chief. <br /> <br />33. Fire extinguishers shall be provided in accordance with the recommendation of the Fire <br /> Chief. <br /> <br />34. Gated park entry points shall have a Knox Box, as approved by the Fire Chief. Each <br /> Knox Box shall have the entry type and number of keys required by the Fire Chief. <br /> Keys for any potential bollards to be installed shall also be provided to emergency <br /> response agencies. <br /> <br />35. All public and private streets, driveways, aisles, and alleys designated as fire lanes by <br /> the Fire Chief shall be maintained in accordance with Articles 9 and 10 of the Uniform <br /> Fire Code which includes tow of vehicles illegally parked on the fire lanes. Fire lanes <br /> shall be painted red with "No Stopping-Fire Lane" signs as required by the vehicle <br /> Code. <br /> <br />36. As required by the Fire Chief, all sprinkler and back flow prevention Fire Department <br /> connections (FDC) shall be placarded with the address(es) it serves. The placard shall <br /> be submitted with the signage package for the site and shall have numerals on a <br /> contrasting background. All placards are subject to the review of the Fire Chief. <br /> <br />Police <br /> <br /> 37. If required by the Police Department, buildings shall be equipped with an alarm system, <br /> the type to be approved by the Police Department. This system shall be installed prior <br /> to occupancy of the building. <br /> <br /> Engineering <br /> <br /> 38. The project developer shall submit a final grading and drainage plan prepared by a <br /> licensed civil engineer depicting all final grades and on-site drainage control measures, <br /> including vegetated swales, to protect all cut and fill slopes from surface water <br /> overflow. This plan shall be subject to the review and approval of the City Engineer <br /> and/or the Chief Building and Safety Official prior to the issuance of any building <br /> permits. <br /> <br /> 39. The project developer shall construct vertical P.C.C. curbs and gutters within this <br /> development unless otherwise approved by the City Engineer. When the sidewalk is <br /> adjacent to the curb and gutter, they shall be poured monolithically. <br /> <br /> <br />
