Prior to each monitoring event, areas of particular concern documented
in previous reports and in the Plan of Control will be identified for incorporation into the site
inspection schedule. Some of the items that will be addressed during the monitoring events include:
a reconnaissance of common area cut slopes located adjacent to improvements; observation of areas
of known landslide repair undertaken during the mass grading operations; observation of known
readily accessible subdrain outlets installed during the mass grading; observation of the lined
surface drainage ditches and catch basin inlets for debris; and observation of selected curb and
gutter alignments. We will also review areas of potential slope instability that were documented in
earlier geotechnical studies and that are located adjacent to existing improvements.

We propose to conduct each regularly-scheduled twice-a-year monitoring event for a fixed-fee of
$1,900, including the preparation of a summary observation letter. We will conduct additional
inspection events on an as-needed basis (e.g. within 48 hours after a significant rain event) for a
fixed-fee of $1,700 per event, including the summary report.

Our office can continue the GHAD monitoring program upon receiving your authorization to
proceed. Our office maintains a staff of geotechnical engineers, geologists and erosion control
specialists to respond if evidence of active slope erosion or instability is observed during the GHAD
monitoring.

2010 Crow Canyon Place · Suite 250 · San Ramon, CA 94583-4634 · (925) 866-9000 * Fax (925) 866-0199
www. engeo.com
