<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-94-27 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF CASE RZ-94-03, THE <br />APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON TO AMEND CHAPTER 18.96 <br />OF THE PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL CODE TO ALLOW TEMPORARY EXCEPTIONS <br />TO THE SIGN ORDINANCE REGULATIONS DURING CONSTRUCTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the city of Pleasanton has applied to amend Chapter 18.96 <br />of the Pleasanton Municipal Code to allow the Planning <br />Director to grant temporary exceptions to the sign <br />ordinance regulations during construction projects; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of May 25, 1994, the <br />Planning Commission considered all public testimony, <br />relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the City staff <br />concerning this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the <br />requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed <br />ordinance is reasonable and will allow the city to <br />expedite processing future cases. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. Recommends approval of Case RZ-94-03, the application <br />of the City of Pleasanton to amend Chapter 18.96 of the <br />Pleasanton Municipal Code to allow the Planning Director <br />to grant temporary exceptions to the sign ordinance <br />regulations during construction projects, as shown on <br />Exhibit "A," attached hereto and made part of this case <br />by reference. <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br />its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON THE 25TH DAY OF MAY 1994 BY THE <br />FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />Commissioners Hovingh, Mahern, Michelotti, Wright, and <br />Chairman McGuirk <br />None <br />Commissioner Finch <br />None <br /> <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAIN: <br />
