PC-94-13 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DENYING AN APPLICATION TO INSTALL A CABINET SIGN ON <br />THE REAR OF A BUILDING AS FILED UNDER CASE AP-94-0J., THE <br />APPLICATION OF TOM MCQUEEN <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Tom McQueen has applied to install two cabinet-signs on <br />an existing building located at 3732 stanley Boulevard; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Zoning Administrator approved the request to place a <br />sign on the north side of the building, which is adjacent <br />to Stanley Boulevard, but denied the request to place a <br />sign on the west, or rear, side of the building; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, within the time specified by the Pleasanton Municipal <br />Code, the applicant appealed the denial of the sign on <br />the rear of the building; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is R-1-6500 District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of March 23, 1994, <br />the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, <br />relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff <br />concerning this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the <br />requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act <br />(CEQA); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Planning <br />the cabinet <br />inconsistent <br /> <br />commission determined the installation <br />sign on the rear of the building <br />with existing City policy. <br /> <br />of <br />is <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. Denies Case AP-94-0l, thereby upholding the denial of <br />the Zoning Administrator of the application of Tom <br />McQueen to install an 8' by 3'6" internally-illuminated <br />cabinet sign identifying the business name on the rear of <br />a building located at 3732 Stanley Boulevard; and <br /> <br />Section 2.
