1 pLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA coUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON FOR A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT AS FILED UNDER CASE GP-91-S RESOLUTION NO. PC-91-106 WHEREAS, the city of Pleasanton has applied to amend the circulation Element of the General Plan to delete reference to light rail transit along the abandoned southern pacific corridor, and/or delete the "transportation corridor" shown along the north side of stanley Boulevard between First street and Valley Avenue; and WHEREAS, at its meeting of commission received case GP-9l.-5; and December 11, 1991, the planning a proposed negative declaration for WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time the public was given the opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposal; and WHEREAS, the planning commission has reviewed the potential impacts in accordance with the applicable state and local guidelines governing the preparation of Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and WHEREAS, the planning Commission finds that approval of the proposed project would not have any significant adverse effects on the environment. the planning commission has received Initial study dated August 1, 1991, recommendations of the staff; and and reviewed the and received the WHEREAS, NOW, THEREFORE, THE pLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: section 1. Recommends approval of the Negative Declaration prepared for the application of the city of Pleasanton to amend the circulation Element of the General plan to delete reference to light rail transit along the abandoned southern pacific corridor, and/or delete the "transportation corridor" shown along the north side of stanley Boulevard between First street and Valley Avenue. section 2.
