. PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANT ON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. PC-91-107 RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A REQUEST BY THE CITY OF PLEASANTON TO AMEND THE CIRCULATION ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN AS FILED UNDER CASE GP-91-5 WHEREAS, the city of Pleasanton has requested to amend the Circulation Element of the General Plan to delete reference to light rail transit along the abandoned Southern Pacific corridor, andlor delete the "transportation corridor: shown along the north side of Stanley Boulevard between First street and Valley Avenue; and WHEREAS, at its duly notice public hearing of December 11, 1991, the Planning commission recommended approval of a proposed Negative Declaration for Case GP-9l.-5 after considering all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the city staff concerning this proposal; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission found that an amendment of the Circulation Element of the General Plan was appropriate. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: Section 1. Recommends approval of a request by the city of Pleasanton to amend the Circulation Element deleting the sentence from paragraph 3 on page 111-9 that reads: "These corridors could be used for light rail transit sometime in the future." Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ON THE 11TH DAY OF DECEMBER 1991 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: ABSTAIN: Commissioners Hovingh, Wright, and Chairman Mahern commissioners Horan and Michelotti Chairman McGuirk None DATE: December 11, 1991
