<br />. <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANT ON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-91-107 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A REQUEST BY THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON TO AMEND THE CIRCULATION ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL <br />PLAN AS FILED UNDER CASE GP-91-5 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the city of Pleasanton has requested to amend the <br />Circulation Element of the General Plan to delete <br />reference to light rail transit along the abandoned <br />Southern Pacific corridor, andlor delete the <br />"transportation corridor: shown along the north side of <br />Stanley Boulevard between First street and Valley Avenue; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its duly notice public hearing of December 11, 1991, <br />the Planning commission recommended approval of a <br />proposed Negative Declaration for Case GP-9l.-5 after <br />considering all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and <br />recommendations of the city staff concerning this <br />proposal; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission found that an amendment of the <br />Circulation Element of the General Plan was appropriate. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. Recommends approval of a request by the city of <br />Pleasanton to amend the Circulation Element deleting the <br />sentence from paragraph 3 on page 111-9 that reads: <br />"These corridors could be used for light rail transit <br />sometime in the future." <br /> <br />Section 2.
