PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. PC-91-106 RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON FOR A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT AS FILED UNDER CASE GP-91-S WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to amend the Circulation Element of the General Plan to delete reference to light rail transit along the abandoned Southern Pacific corridor, and/or delete the "transportation corridor" shown along the north side of Stanley Boulevard between First Street and Valley Avenue; and WHEREAS, at its meeting of Commission received Case GP-9l.-5; and December 11, 1991, the Planning a proposed negative declaration for WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has received Initial Study dated August 1, 1991, recommendations of the staff; and and reviewed the and received the WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time the public was given the opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposal; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the potential impacts in accordance with the applicable state and local guidelines governing the preparation of Negati ve Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds proposed project would not have effects on the environment. that approval of the any significant adverse NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: Section 1. Recommends approval of the Negative Declaration prepared for the application of the City of Pleasanton to amend the Circulation Element of the General Plan to delete reference to light rail transit along the abandoned Southern Pacific corridor, and/or delete the "transportation corridor" shown along the north side of Stanley Boulevard between First street and Valley Avenue. Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
