<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-91-106 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE NEGATIVE DECLARATION <br />FOR THE APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANT ON FOR A GENERAL <br />PLAN AMENDMENT AS FILED UNDER CASE GP-91-S <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to amend the <br />circulation Element of the General Plan to delete <br />reference to light rail transit along the abandoned <br />Southern Pacific corridor, andlor delete the <br />"transportation corridor" shown along the north side of <br />Stanley Boulevard between First street and Valley Avenue; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of <br />commission received <br />Case GP-91-5; and <br /> <br />December 11, 1991, the Planning <br />a proposed negative declaration for <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Planning commission has received <br />Initial study dated August 1, 1991, <br />recommendations of the staff; and <br /> <br />and reviewed the <br />and received the <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time the <br />public was given the opportunity to comment on the <br />environmental impacts of the proposal; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning commission has reviewed the potential <br />impacts in accordance with the applicable state and local <br />guidelines governing the preparation of Negati ve <br />Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that approval of the <br />proposed project would not have any significant adverse <br />effects on the environment. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. Recommends approval of the Negative Declaration <br />prepared for the application of the City of Pleasanton to <br />amend the circulation Element of the General Plan to <br />delete reference to light rail transit along the <br />abandoned Southern Pacific corridor, and/or delete the <br />"transportation corridor" shown along the north side of <br />stanley Boulevard between First street and valley Avenue. <br /> <br />section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />
