PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON

ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION NO. PC-91-102

RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING THAT A GENERAL PLAN STUDY BE CONDUCTED
FOR THE VINEYARD AVENUE CORRIDOR AREA

WHEREAS, at its meeting of November 20, l.99l., the Planning
commission recommended approval of Case GP-9l.-8 and
RZ-91-7, the application of the city of Pleasanton to
amend and expand the Pleasanton General Plan Land Use Map
and prezone lands known as the Ruby Hill area and the
Vineyard Avenue Corridor area located south of the Arroyo
del Valle extending east from the Pleasanton city limits
near Montevino Drive to land located east of Vallecitos
Road; and

WHEREAS, at that meeting, the Planning Commission also determined
that it would be appropriate for the city to conduct a
General Plan and possibly a Specific Plan study for the
more than 350-acre Vineyard Avenue Corridor area to
determine the appropriate mix of land uses and
infrastructure for the area.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON
RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING:

Section 1. Recommends that a General Plan and possibly a Specific
Plan study be done to encompass the Vineyard Avenue
corridor Area (to include all roads leading to the
"S-curve") to re-examine this area for any necessary
infrastructure and for potential sites for parks, fire
stations, or other needs.

Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and adoption.
