PC-91-99 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A REQUEST BY THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON FOR A SPHERE-OF-INFLUENCE EXPANSION AND GENERAL <br />PLAN AMENDMENT AS FILED UNDER CASE GP-91-8 AND CASE RZ-91-7 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has requested to expand the <br />Pleasanton Sphere-of-Influence and to amend and expand <br />the Pleasanton General Plan Land Use Map to conform to <br />the Low Density Residential, Agriculture and Grazing, and <br />Public Health and Safety uses recently approved by <br />Alameda County for the 1,603-acre Ruby Hill area located <br />south of Vineyard Avenue along both sides of Vallecitos <br />Road; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its duly notice public hearing of November 20, 1991, <br />the Planning commission recommended approval of a <br />proposed Negative Declaration for Case GP-91-8 after <br />considering all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and <br />recommendations of the city staff concerning this <br />proposal; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning commission found that the proposed Sphere- <br />of-Influence expansion and General Plan amendment are <br />internally consistent with the Land Use Element and other <br />Elements of the General Plan. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />section 1. Recommends approval of a request by the City of <br />Pleasanton to expand the Pleasanton Sphere-of-Influence <br />and to amend and expand the Pleasanton General Plan Land <br />Use Map to conform to the Low Density Residential, <br />Agriculture and Grazing, and Public Health and Safety <br />uses recently approved by Alameda County for the <br />1,603-acre Ruby Hill area located south of vineyard <br />Avenue along both sides of Vallecitos Road, as <br />illustrated on the attached Exhibit A. <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />
