<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-91-82 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A GENERAL PLAN <br />AMENDMENT FOR THE NORTH SYCAMORE SPECIFIC PLAN AREA <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the city of Pleasanton has applied to amend the Land Use <br />Element designation of the General Plan from "Low and <br />Medium Density Residential" to a reconfigured combination <br />of "Low and Medium Density Residential," "Retail, <br />Highway, and Service commercial/Business and professional <br />Office" uses, and references to potential future school, <br />park and public institutional uses as shown on the <br />attached Exhibit A; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the property is located generally north of sycamore Road, <br />east of Sunol Boulevard, and south of the Mission Park <br />and Ventana Hills neighborhoods; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of November 13, 1991, <br />the planning commission recommended approval of an <br />Environmental Impact Report prepared for the North <br />Sycamore Specific Plan area after considering all public <br />testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the <br />city staff concerning this proposal; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the planing commission finds that this proposed General <br />Plan amendment is consistent with the goals and policies <br />of the General Plan. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />section 1. Recommends approval of the application of the City of <br />Pleasanton to amend the Land Use Element designation of <br />the General Plan from "Low and Medium Density <br />Residential" to a reconfigured combination of "Low and <br />Medium Density Residential," "Retail, Highway and Service <br />Commercial/Business and Professional office" uses, and <br />references to potential future school, park and public <br />institutional uses as shown on the attached Exhibit A for <br />the property located generally north of sycamore Road, <br />east of Sunol Boulevard, and south of the Mission Park <br />and Ventana Hills neighborhoods. <br /> <br />section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br />its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED THE l3TH DAY OF NOVEMBER 1991 BY THE <br />FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />- <br />
