THE CITY OF <br /> <br />I>L£AS&NTON: <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />6E <br /> <br />City Council <br />Staff Report <br /> <br /> June 21, 2005 <br />Parks and Community Services Department <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF CONSULTANT AGREEMENT WITH ELS <br />ARCHITECTS TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR <br />THE DESIGN OF A PUBLIC RESTROOM STRUCTURE FOR <br />DELUCCHI PARK, PROJECT NO. 038030 <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />SUMMARY: <br /> <br />That the City Council take the following actions at its meeting of June 21, <br />2005: <br /> <br />Approve the contract with ELS Architects to provide design services <br />for the subject project. <br /> <br />2. Authorize the City Manager to execute the attached agreement. <br /> <br />Staff is recommending the firm of ELS Architects, Inc., of Berkeley for the <br />preparation of schematic design and construction documents for a public <br />restroom structure for Delucchi Park. The proposed contract cost for all <br />related design work is not to exceed $45,000. The City Council is asked to <br />review and approve the attached Agreement. <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council: <br /> <br />BACKGROUND and PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> <br />At its meeting of April 19, 2005, the Council considered a variety of locations for a new public <br />restroom building in the Downto~vn area, and selected the southwest comer of Delucchi Park <br />near W.
