The site's isolation and infill character
necessitates the PUD zoning for its development.
The proposed plan, as conditioned, will
substantially comply with the purpose of the PUD
District. No public amenities are necessary to
justify the 3.6 units/acre.

WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that under the
proposed PUD-MDR zoning designation and development plan
proper development standards and requirements are
available to minimize impacts to the surrounding area;
and

WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed PUD
rezoning is consistent with the General Plan.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON
RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING:

section 1. Recommends approval of Case PUD-91-8, the application
of Russell Schaeffer for planned unit development (PUD)
rezoning to the PUD (Planned Unit Development) Medium Density
Residential District and development plan approval for a five-
unit single-family residential development on an approximately
1.401 acre parcel located at 5059 Foothill Road, subject to
the conditions shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made
part of this case by reference.

section 2.
