THE CITY OF <br /> <br />pL£AS&NTON <br /> <br />GHAD <br /> <br />City Council <br /> Staff Report <br /> <br /> June 21, 2005 <br />Public Works Department <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />ANNUAL ASSESSMENTS FOR THE GEOLOGIC HAZARD <br />ABATEMENT DISTRICT (GHAD) FOR OAK TREE FARM, <br />TRACT 6563 AND TRACT 6748; MOLLER RANCH, TRACT 6618; <br />LAUREL CREEK ESTATES (THE PRESERVE, OAK HILL <br />ESTATES, AND KOLB RANCH ESTATES), TRACT 6400, TRACT <br />6590, TRACT 7045, AND TRACT 6951; AND LEMOINE RANCH <br />ESTATES, TRACT 7176 <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the City Council take the following action at the <br />meeting of June 21, 2005: <br /> <br />Convene as the Board of Directors for the Oak Tree Farm, Moller <br />Ranch, Laurel Creek Estates (The Preserve, Oak Hill Estates and <br />Kolb Ranch Estates) and Lemoine Ranch Estates Geologic Hazard <br />Abatement Districts. <br /> <br />Open and hold a Public Hearing to receive comments regarding the <br />levy of annual assessments for each of the Geologic Hazard <br />Abatement Districts. <br /> <br />Adopt a resolution confuming the assessments and order that the <br />amount of the assessments be levied against each parcel of property <br />within each district that is benefited thereby. <br /> <br />4. Direct the Clerk of the District to record a notice of assessments. <br /> <br />5. Appropriate $234 from the Sewer Fund, and $703 from the Water <br /> Fund to the respective Geologic Hazard Abatement Districts to pay <br /> City assessments. <br /> <br />SR:05:171 <br />Page 1 of 9 <br /> <br /> <br />
