<br />The proposed billiard parlor and alcoholic beverage <br />service will be contained completely on-site. <br />Sufficient parking, traffic capacity, and distance <br />from residential neighborhoods have been provided. <br />Although the business would be open during the day, <br />the maximum use would occur during the nighttime. <br />The business is located in an area where nighttime <br />uses would not create a nuisance to adjoining <br />areas. streets leading to the site are designed <br />per City standards and are signalized to provide <br />safe access into and out of the site. The <br />conditions of approval, as well as the applicant's <br />design of the tenant space the use will occupy, <br />will ensure that the establishment remains within <br />the standards of all applicable City codes. <br /> <br />C. That the proposed conditional use will comply with <br />each of the applicable provisions of this chapter. <br /> <br />The site's PUD zoning permits the establishment of <br />pool halls, as outlined by Municipal Code section <br />18.44.090 "Permitted and Conditional Uses in the C <br />District". The proposed pool hall complies with <br />all relevant sections of the zoning ordinance. <br />Granting a conditional use permit to Harold Mesick <br />for operating a pool hall, serving beer after <br />10:00pm, and operating three video game machines is <br />consistent with the City's ability to regulate <br />zoning as listed in Municipal Code Section 18.124 <br />"Conditional Uses". <br /> <br />WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the <br />requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the proposed project, as <br />existing need for a social, <br />Pleasanton residents. <br /> <br />conditioned, will fill an <br />night entertainment spot for <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />section 1.
