PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASAHTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA . RESOLUTION NO. PC-91-47 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CONCEPT FOR CASE PR-91-2, NILES CANYON RAILWAY EXTENSION WHEREAS, Ed Churka (Coffee Roast Express) has submitted a preliminary proposal to extend the Niles Canyon Railway (steam tourist railroad operated by the Pacific Locomotive Association) from Niles Canyon along the former Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way into Downtown Pleasanton; and WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of July 10, 1991, the Planning commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff concerning this application; and preliminary proposals of this nature exempt from the requirements of Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); and WHEREAS, the Planning commission found that the concept of the preliminary proposal has some merit. are categorically the California WHEREAS, NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANT ON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: section 1. Approves the concept for Case PR-91-2, the preliminary proposal of Ed Churka (Coffee Roast Express) to extend the Niles Canyon Railway (steam tourist railroad operated by the Pacific Locomotive Association) from Niles Canyon along the former Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way into Downtown Pleasanton. Section 2. This resolution shall become effective 15 days after its passage and adoption.
