<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASAHTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-91-35 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF CASE RZ-91-2, THE <br />APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASAHTON TO AMEND SECTION <br />18.96.060K AND SECTION 18.116.040 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to amend section <br />18.96.060K and section 18.116.040 of the Municipal Code <br />to allow the use of large hot/cold air balloons for one <br />day only during shopping center grand openings and other <br />shopping center or commercial area special events; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of May 22, 1991, the <br />Planning commission considered all public testimony, <br />relevant exhibits and recommendations of the city staff <br />concerning this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the <br />requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASAHTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />section 1. Recommends approval of Case RZ-91-2, the application of <br />the city of Pleasanton to amend Section 18.96.060K and <br />section 18.116.040 of the Municipal Code to allow the use <br />of large hot/cold air balloons for one day only during <br />shopping center grand openings and other shopping center <br />or commercial area special events as shown on Exhibit "A" <br />and Exhibit "B" attached hereto and made part of this <br />case by reference. <br /> <br />Section 2.
