Accept the improvements for the subject project. <br /> <br /> 2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion for the subject <br /> project. <br /> <br /> 3. Authorize payment of the retention in the amount of $18,209.04 to J. <br /> Howard Engineering, Inc. thirty days after filing the Notice of <br /> Completion. <br /> <br />SUMMARY: Construction of the subject project is complete and is ready for acceptance. <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council: <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />On December 7, 2004, the City Council awarded the construction contract for the subject project <br />to the lowest bidder, J. Howard Engineering, Inc., in the amount of $177,344. The project, as <br />described below, has since been completed and is ready for acceptance. <br /> <br />Sanitary sewer mains and laterals with two-way cleanouts were replaced along Rose Avenue <br />from Pleasanton Avenue to Main Street. <br /> <br />SR:05:147 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
