L. MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS

Mr. Swift advised staff will look into the issue of the delivery trucks parking in the fire lane
at the Pleasant Village Center.

Commissioner Barker advised that the arrow traffic signal at Bernal and First is obstructed
by tree limbs. She also inquired what had occurred concerning the Ruby Hills signs. She
further advised there are green traffic signs using the Ruby Hills Golf Club logo on Bernal.
Mr. Swift stated that the developer is taking issue with the number of signs allowed due to
the different product types available.

Commissioner Hovingh advised that cars are parked with "for sale" signs at Muirwood Drive
and West Las Positas. He suggested adding no parking signs or tow away signs. Mr.
Beougher stated the City cannot regulate parked cars with "for sale" signs.
Mr. Swift stated this issue may be before the Council at its next meeting, and staff will look
into putting up no parking signs.

Commissioner McGuirk inquired about the progress on Foothill Road at Muirwood North.
Mr. Swift stated that no progress will be made on Foothill until funds are secured through
the CIP or until the developers on the west side of Foothill come forward with funding. Pan
Cal funds have been received. Mr. Higdon stated the soundwall, sidewalk, and landscaping
will be installed in the near future.

Chairman Wright advised the Gateway Center sign has visible fluorescent tubing and has
been that way for some weeks. Mr. Swift thought perhaps a tenant change had occurred,
although a blank facing should have been installed. Staff will follow up.

Chairman Wright also commented that parking at the theater in Rose Pavilion is very limited
and is concerned the addition of a new retail building will further decrease available parking.

8...
