UP-94-24, an application to convert an existing detached <br />garage into a secondary unit and Item 6d. UP-94-2l, Grading Plan Modification for the <br />Westbrook Housing Group, be continued to the June 8th meeting. PJp"~"nton Theranv Center (Karen Childs & Karen Alillavo) <br />Application for a conditional use permit to establish a therapeutic massage center <br />located at 30 West Neal Street, Suite 100 (Pleasanton Station). Zoning for the property <br />is PUD (planned Unit Development) - CIO (Commercial/Office) District. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Mr. Swift presented the staff report on the application for a therapeutic massage studio to be <br />located at 30 West Neal Street. The Pleasanton Therapy Center has had a conditional use <br />permit to operate at their present location, and this application is for a conditional use permit <br />for their new location. Staff is not aware of any problems associated with the previous <br />conditional use permit and recommends approval subject to the conditions as listed in Exhibit <br />"B." <br /> <br />Commissioner Hovingh inquired which suites on the staff report location map were those of <br />the Pleasanton Massage Center. Mr. Swift stated it was not clear and the question should be <br />addressed to the applicants. <br /> <br />Regarding the 739 F & G Main Street location, Commissioner Hovingh inquired if someone <br />else wanted to occupy it with another massage business, would they have to apply for <br />another conditional use permit. Mr. Swift advised they would not if they occupied the space <br />within the next 60-90 days. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HRARING WAS OPENED <br /> <br />Karen Childs, 3455 Windsor Court, and Karen Aguayo, 30 West Neal, Suite 100, <br />represented their application. They stated they have read and agree with the findings and <br />conditions of the staff report. The applicants clarified that they will occupy the offices <br />indicated as Office 10 and 11, and Computer Room of the building map. Primary public <br />access will be through the common door/reception area near the real estate office, or the <br />public can access their office space through a door at the end of the hallway.
