Citv of Pleasanton <br />To consider amendments to Chapter 18.20 of the Pleasanton Mu 'cipal code to modify <br />provisions pertaining to the design review process. <br /> <br />Continued to 10/13/93. <br /> <br />After formal hearings were concluded, Commissioner Michelotti in ired of staff what this <br />application was about, and were there going to be surprises at the n xt meeting. Briefly Mr. <br />Swift stated that the Planning Department proposed changes to the ity Council and this <br />action is the fInalization of that proposal. On small projects (single ustom homes), if staff <br />had problems interpreting what the City's goals were, the Planning epartment would bring <br />in a local architect on a volunteer basis for assistance. On major pr ~ects, there would be a <br />system to hire an architect who would be paid by the applicant to r iew the plan. Council <br />members expressed interest that the architect give staff input, as we as be present at <br />meetings. <br /> <br />Commissioner Michelotti advised that the plan went from a donatio of time to being paid <br />for assistance as well as being paid to attend meetings. <br /> <br />~ UP-93-S2. MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright reported that several people have expressed t him that Valley Avenue <br />between Santa Rita and Hopyard on Monday mornings from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. is a virtual <br />river on both sides of the street.
