~ The Commission discussed the use of a solid wood fence, a cyclo fence with wood slats, and a solid wall, and the protection that each of the alternatives pr vide. Commissioner Mabern noted that in some centers a wood fence mi ht be more appropriate if it is adjacent to a grassy area. She stated that she would like to a little more flexibility. Commissioner Michelotti stated that this language is only for Com ercial-Neighborhood districts, as opposed to other areas where it might be appropriate have a fenced area. Clifford Zucco, D.V.M., 6352 Alisal Street, represented the applica 'on, clarifying the type of services he will be providing, and stating that he is in agreement ith the conditions of approval. Commissioner Hovingh asked if the clinic would have one common aiting room for dogs and cats. Dr. Zucco responded that there would be only one room, ut that it may be . separated with a counter or by furniture. He also noted that there s ould not be any problems if dogs are kept on leashes and cats are kept in carriers. In response to Chairman McGuirk's questions regarding ventilation t cleaning of the facility, Dr. Zucco advised that he will probably n to keep the clinic clean.
