Mr. Swift referenced a memo dated uly 28 which modifies
the applicant's proposal adding 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday to the ours of operation. He
noted that staff supports this revision and that there is no need to end the conditions of
approval.

In response to Commissioner Hovingh's question, Mr. Swift ackno ledged that the reference
to "home occupation" should be deleted from Condition #3.

THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS OPRNRn.

. Gordon Jue, 7707 Oxford Circle, Dublin, represented the applicati n. He stated that this
would be mostly a part-time business, with hours from 5 p.m. to 1 p.m., but that he had
requested earlier hours of operation to allow expansion. He stated at he was satisfied with
the conditions of the staff report.

TIlE PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED.

Commissioner Wright indicated that he has observed parents pickin up students at the karate
school in the Safeway center waiting in the driving lane of the par g lot rather than pulling
into a parking space. He asked if a condition should be included to address this situation.

Commissioner Mahern stated that she did not believe the parking 10 in this center serves the
same kinds of uses as the Safeway center and that it probably woul not create a problem.

Mr. Swift stated that if it does become a problem it could be addres ed under Condition #3
and that it could be brought back to the Planning Commission for r iew.

Commissioner Wright stated he wanted the applicant to be aware of this potential problem.

A motion was made by Commill.~ioner Michelotti, seconded by C mmill.Sioner Wright,
making the conditional use permit '-mdings and approving Case -93-42, subject to the
conditions listed in Exhibit "B," amending Condition #3 by delet g the words "home
occupation.
