A motion was made by Commi~ioner Michelotti, seconded by ommk~ioner Wright, making the following recommendations if the City Council plac. the General Plan Amendment on the ballot: ~ . Policy 1: the word "appearance" should not be removed . delete "golf courses" under Land Use Policies and Stan . elimin..te the "600 acres" in the northwest corner of the tudy Area; . the initiative should provide that future General Plan ndments be made following the normal (City Council majority vote) appro al process; . the boundary of the General Plan Amendment area shou d be amended to be the area of the "Ridgelands" easterly of the "Proposed Pleas nton Sphere-of-Influence Boundary" as shown in Exhibit A, with all the area west r1y of this line being outside Pleasanton's planning area; . accept the General Plan Steering Conunittee's recommen tion for density transfer; and . amend Section VI (6) [page 7] to read: "New developme t . . . visible from urbanized areas of Pleasanton, . . ."
